In 1999, Union Pointe Construction and Amako Construction joined strengths to design and construct the Solitude Village Resort in Utah. As a world-class ski resort, the development had unique requirements and client expectations to overcome. Union Pointe and Amako performed as a seasoned team and successfully completed the project while achieving total client satisfaction.

Due to this initial success, Union Pointe and Amako made a strategic decision to unite forces permanently and form UPA.
